It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that eating right is the best wrinkle treatment in the world, but not all foods on the buffet table are created equal. There are certain foods in the anti wrinkle pyramid that stand alone in the upper echelon. These foods are rich in anti-oxidants, Vitamin A and other essential ingredients that anyone who is serious about keeping their skin healthy over the long term should know about. Just a handful of those foods are blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, plums and even a dark, rich cup of coffee.

Even if you are brand new to the healthy skin game, you have likely heard television doctors rave about anti oxidants and how they are the kings. It seems that every new day brings a new story about a new type of food that is rich in anti oxidants, but for this week, the reigning king is the blueberry. It is amazing that the single best food in the world for your skin is also one of the most delicious types of food in the world. Want better skin? Eat more blueberry pie! Of course, raw blueberries make a healthier snack, but why are anti oxidants so good for your skin in the first place?

As scientists attempt to piece together the puzzle, it became clear early on that anti oxidants were a huge part of the equation. As we all k now, the biggest culprit of skin damage is the sun. Around the clock, the sun emits tiny, microscopic particles known as free radicals. These troublesome little particles bust through the ozone layer and come streaming through our atmosphere looking for skin cells to destroy. Too much exposure to free radicals and seriously damage your skin over the long term, but luckily, we have nature’s all natural wrinkle treatment working for us: anti oxidants.

Anti oxidants, like the ones found in blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, plums and in coffee make our skin cells significantly less susceptible to the damage caused by free radicals and they can also help repair damaged skin cells so that no further harm comes to them. Since you are protecting your skin cells against degradation, you are also helping to prevent premature aging and even some skin conditions. When you add in proper skin care and anti wrinkle creams you are creating a barrier against the damage caused by the sun.

Along with eating a diet rich in anti oxidants, you can also help your cause by putting on sun block if you are going to be outside for more than a few minutes. This includes going out in the cold winter months. Just because you won’t be getting a tan doesn’t mean you don’t need protection from the sun’s harmful radiation.

Many people wonder how many servings per day of anti oxidant rich foods they need for optimum health. It is a good idea to have one serving per meal of some anti oxidant rich food to help maximize their effectiveness.

The old saying that you are what you eat is actually far more accurate than most people think. What we put into our bodies, both as young people and as we age, directly impacts how healthy we are later in life and how we look. Perhaps the one organ that is most susceptible to how we live, what we eat and the decisions we make is our skin. One day of sitting out in the sun too long or a few weeks of eating the wrong foods and our skin can carry the scars for life. Recent studies have shown that a low fat dairy diet can do wonders for our skin. Even if we haven’t been enjoying a low fat dairy lifestyle up until now, we can easily begin such a diet today and the results will likely become apparent within just a few weeks.

The low fat dairy craze can be traced down to our best friend Vitamin A. If you have a medicine cabinet full of skin creams, anti wrinkle creams, moisturizers and other skin care products, the one thing they all have in common is Vitamin A. Even more than wrinkle treatment king aloe, Vitamin A does more to promote skin cell health throughout the body. We can help this process along by applying cream that contains Vitamin A, but we can also help by eating foods rich in Vitamin A, and low fat dairy is chock full of the good stuff we need.

If you happen to suffer from certain health problems, such as a thyroid condition or diabetes, a diet rich in Vitamin A, such as a low fat dairy diet, is even more important for the lasting health of your skin. If you have one of these conditions, you need help converting the substance beta carotene to a useful version of Vitamin A. The type of Vitamin A found in dairy is easily convertible so that anyone can use it.

If you are looking for one particular type of food to concentrate on, studies have shown that the live bacteria that is found in most types of yogurt might be the single best low fat dairy food for your skin. Yogurt contains a substance known as acidophilus that is best known for keeping our digestive tract and intestines in good shape, but recent studies have shown a connection to skin health, as well. Who knew you could find anti wrinkle properties mixed in with the fruit at the bottom of your favourite cup of yogurt!

Of course, you don’t want to focus completely on a wrinkle treatment that only includes low fat dairy. You should always include fresh vegetables and other healthy foods in your diet so that you always receive all of the nutrients you need. Low fat dairy can play a huge role in that so stock up on 1 percent milk, fresh yogurt and other nutritious dairy items and see the results in your skin each and every morning.

If you are worried about getting wrinkles, you know just how frustrating it can be to always be on the search for the right anti wrinkle product or service. There are two facets to treating wrinkles; it is important to treat them as well as prevent them, and there are so many different ways of doing so that it can be hard to figure out which ones are going to be worth your time and which ones are not.

Wrinkle treatment does not have to be complicated. As a matter of fact, it can be relatively simple to stop the formation of new wrinkles with simple changes to your diet. There are some myths out there surrounding diet and nutrition and wrinkles. For one, many people are under the impression that a good diet can reverse the aging process and that is just not the case. Nothing can reverse the aging process. The body will continue to get older all the time, but there are certain things that we can do to make the aging process easier on our looks. Using wrinkle creams is all well and fine, but there are certain things that we can do from the insides of our bodies that are even better. That is what good nutrition is about.

What You Can Eat for a Youthful Look

Protein is one thing that is great for an anti wrinkle diet. A diet rich in protein helps the body to build and maintain collagen, which is important for maintaining firmness in the skin. Most people get enough protein in their diets, but there are certain ways that you can go about increasing the amount of protein that you get into your diet on a daily basis.
Certain foods are richer in protein than others and are great for wrinkle treatment focused diet. These foods include but are not limited to:

Certain types of fish, including salmon, halibut, cod, whiting and catfish
Lean beef
Roast beef
Soy beans
Pinto beans
Lentils
Peanuts
Almonds
Cashews
Turkey
Chicken
Pork tenderloin
Milk
Pumpkin seeds
Sunflower seeds

If you are looking at this list and finding that a lot of the things on it have not made it into your diet in quite a while, consider experimenting with some new things so that you can be assured that you are getting enough protein in your anti wrinkle diet.

Foods that are high in fat or sugar are not the type of foods that you want in your diet, regardless of their protein content.
There are also protein mixes and shakes that some people try as a form of supplementation, but when nutrients come from food they are processed much better by the body and have a much better effect.

You don’t have to start seeking expensive wrinkle treatment options just yet. Invest in a good cookbook instead, and consider the many different ways in which you can incorporate protein rich foods like those mentioned above into your diet. It’s not only good for your skin, but the rest of your body as well.

Often individuals think that anti wrinkle creams are the best way to treat wrinkles, but these days, you actually have other options, and one of them may actually involve what you drink every single day.

Do you start your morning with a cup of coffee? Perhaps you have some green tea in the afternoon? Maybe you grab a soda on your way home from work? Do you see a problem emerging? Your day is filled with caffeine, and recent studies have shown that caffeine can actually have a negative effect on your wrinkle treatment plan. You’ve probably heard negative press about caffeine before, and with good reason. There are lots of studies that show caffeine can have a bad effect on lots of body systems. Average individuals drink almost six caffeine laced beverages every single day, and it doesn’t have to be your morning cup of coffee. Few individuals will admit to how much caffeine they consume in a given day, but that may be because they’re not considering every possible aspect. Sure, coffee is an easy target, but if you drink beverages like green tea for the antioxidants or you have a cup of cocoa when you get in to warm up, you’re consuming caffeine then too. Moreover, if you start your day with an energy drink like Red Bull, you’re getting far more caffeine than your skin can handle.

What’s the Big Deal?

The problem isn’t the caffeine itself. Caffeine doesn’t actually affect your skin at all. The problem is your body’s reaction to caffeine. The caffeine you consume actually sucks the water out of your body. It, essentially, dehydrates you, and that can make it harder to get rehydrated, a key component of any wrinkle treatment plan. When your skin is dehydrated, it can flake or fall in on itself. That’s why it begins to sag as you age.

Do I Have To Give It Up?

The work days in this country are getting longer by the second, and giving up caffeine isn’t a prospect many people look forward to, even if it’s for anti wrinkle purposes. Fortunately, the answer here is no. You don’t have you give your caffeine drinks permanently, but most scientists would recommend that you limit your intake to the equivalent of three cups of coffee per day. It is important to note that many of the energy drinks on the market are actually equivalent to three cups of coffee in and of themselves, so look carefully at the label before you make any purchases.

Buying wrinkle treatments can get expensive, but if it’s as simple as skipping Starbucks on your way to work, you may actually begin to save money while you try to become the hero of the anti wrinkle world. Pass it on to your coworkers, and you may want to replace that coffee maker with a water cooler that will help rehydrate all of you and ensure you don’t begin to look old before you have to.

Many people out there think that expensive treatments and pricey wrinkle creams are the best way to go about having younger looking, wrinkle-free skin. While these are all great ways to make yourself look younger, wouldn’t it be nice if you never had to go that far in order to get beautiful, healthy, smooth skin? The answer is in your refrigerator, or even in your kitchen sink; that answer is water.

There has been some debate for quite a while now as to how effective water is when it comes to the world of wrinkle treatment. While some people out there discount the effects of water on the skin, research has shown that water is a great way to keep the skin supple and moist, and we all know that supple and moist skin is the most likely to be wrinkle free.

The skin is nothing but a large organ, and organs are made up of cells. Cells are almost all water, and when they stay nice and hydrated they are bound to perform better. When skin cells are performing at their best, they appear much better.

When the body doesn’t have enough water, it has numerous ways of showing it and dry skin and wrinkles are just a few of these ways. When skin is dry it is less resilient, making it that much more prone to wrinkles. By making water a regular part of your everyday life, you are setting yourself up for much healthier, smoother skin in the end.

It isn’t hard to get a whole lot of water into your diet as a treatment. Water gets into the body by accident through the foods that you eat, so if you have a fairly healthy intake of foods it is not difficult to go above and beyond that. When you have a meal, drink water instead of juice—at least one glass. When you exercise, be sure to take plenty of water along with you as that is time when the body is in need of it the most.

Experts recommend six to eight glasses of water a day. This is also a great way to help control your weight, as it takes up room in the stomach that might otherwise cause pangs of hunger.
People don’t realize how much the things they put into their body have an effect on the way that their body appears on the outside. Water is just one way of going about putting the right things into your body to make sure that your skin is as supple and healthy as you want it to be. People have been looking all over for the fountain of youth for years, and the fountain of youth may very well be in your kitchen. Anti wrinkle products aren’t always as hidden as you may think.

Keeping the body hydrated is a great way to go about lessening the chances of having to deal with wrinkles. Wrinkle treatments are a great way to keep the skin healthy and keep the moisture there, but clear skin starts on the inside.

Our skin is the largest and the most important organ that we possess. While the health of all of our organs are important, the skin is the only organ that we show to everybody we see on a daily basis and so it is more important than ever to make sure that it is in tip top shape. When our bodies begin to age, things like wrinkles become a problem and that is not something that anybody ever wants to deal with. All the anti aging products and wrinkle treatment methods in the world can’t do much if our bodies are not healthy, as the health of the skin has just as much to do with what we put in our bodies as what we put on it. There is such a thing as a wrinkle-free diet, and while it may not be able to keep every wrinkle from popping up on your skin it is the first and most important step toward having healthy, younger-looking skin.

Most of the wrinkles on our bodies are created when free radicals begin to take its toll on the skin. Free radicals can only be stopped by powerful antioxidants, and eating foods that are rich in antioxidants is one of the best ways to create your own product.

Where can you find these valuable antioxidants? Vegetables are the most common source of antioxidants. Anybody who has a diet rich in green vegetables or other brightly colored vegetables should have all of the nutrients that they need in order to fight wrinkles from the inside.

The best vegetables for anti wrinkle purpose are also the most appealing to the eye. Brightly colored bell peppers, red potatoes, leafy green spinach, romaine lettuce, radishes and other such vegetables are great for skin health and the other aspects of your health as well. The same free radicals that take a toll on your skin can also cause you to become sick in other areas of the body, and the same antioxidants that fight these free radicals can help to keep you healthy.

Fruit is also a great source of these antioxidants for healthy, wrinkle-free skin. Again, the brighter they are in color the richer they tend to be in the vitamins and minerals that are most important, and that is essential in any wrinkle treatment.

Nobody ever said that being and staying beautiful was easy. There are a lot of products out there that are designed to keep the skin looking young and fight wrinkles and their active ingredients are just what a skin healthy diet should put into the body—essential vitamins and minerals and antioxidants to keep the free radicals from taking over the body and taking their toll on the skin.

Eating a well balanced diet shouldn’t have to be an effort. Make everyday eating about healthy habits and having plenty of good vitamins and minerals and the rest comes easy. Finding vegetables and fruits that you enjoy eating and getting in the recommended servings of fruits and vegetables shouldn’t be a problem, and if you do, you’ll discover your own treatment.

If you are on the lookout for anti wrinkle products and different treatments that can help you to look younger all the time, chances are that you have seen just about everything. There are so many different suggestions out there for ways to keep ourselves looking younger that it can be difficult to figure out which of them are for real and which are just wastes of time. If you are looking for ways to stay younger, consider the fact that the different wrinkle treatment methods out there might be a bit much. The fountain of youth does exist, and in the form of a water fountain.

Experts recommend that men and women looking to find a method drink 64 ounces of water every day in order to keep their skin smooth and supple. This equals out to about six to eight glasses of water each and every day, and that can be harder for some people than for others. Those who are looking to stay younger must do their best to get in the recommended amount of water, as the body needs it in order to function properly.

Think about it like this: if you have a flower or a plant and you don’t water it enough ever day, what is going to happen to it? In most cases, the lack of water will cause the flower to slowly wilt, and then eventually wrinkle up, dry up and die. Plants are living things and they require the life sustaining properties of water in order to stay alive.

The same thing happens with human beings. Although they may not dry up and die in as much of the same manner as plants, it is still important that people get enough water because their skin will suffer just as the plant suffers. Water gives life to everything, including your skin. Keep in mind that watering a plant will not give life back to the fibers of the plant and bring it back to life. It is important that the plant have water all the time in order to be healthy and the same goes for the skin. If you want wrinkle treatment, maybe it’s time to look to water.

Our bodies get some water out of the foods that we eat and the things that we drink every day. Water does not have to be plain in order to have anti wrinkle properties, but the things that we drink also tend to contain sugars and fat that work against the treatment of wrinkles. There are certain days and certain instances in which the body may be in need of water more than others. On days when more water escapes from the body, more water is needed.

Water is the best treatment that there is. The best wrinkle creams out there contain active ingredients that work to restore moisture to the face, but the best place to start is on the inside. This is what is the most important. Are you drinking enough water?

People are on a never ending quest to look younger, and that is a good thing—usually. This quest for the fountain of youth prompts many people to do things that are good for their bodies and minds, taking care to take care of themselves in a way that they might not if they didn’t think it would have a positive impact on their minds. While many people are on this search for the perfect anti wrinkle product, other people are looking for a wrinkle treatment to try. Still others are thinking of and researching other ways to keep their skin looking and feeling firmer, and protein is one great way of doing so.

Yes, you read right. Protein is a valid treatment. Protein is needed for the formation of vital collagen, but it is not stored in the body as other things are so it is up to you to make sure that you get enough in your diet.

Protein is recommended for a variety of things and preventing and treating wrinkles is another one to add to the list. Vegetarians may not get enough protein in their diet as they do not eat meat, but there are other ways to go about getting protein that do not involve animal flesh, such as tofu and soy bean products.

For everybody else, getting protein in one’s diet does not have to be a hassle. It is possible to enjoy the same foods that you love and not have to be overly conscious of your protein intake. As a matter of fact meat is one of the best sources of protein out there. Some of the things that you already love to eat may already be great anti wrinkle sources of protein.

For starters, protein is found in plentiful amounts in foods like:

• Lean beef
• Chicken
• Eggs
• Turkey
• Roast beef
• Cheese
• Salmon
• Halibut
• Whiting
• Cod
• Milk
• Most types of beans (soy beans, black beans, pinto beans, etc.)
• Peanuts
• Cashews
• Almonds
• Sunflower seeds
• Pumpkin seeds
• Peanut butter
• Flax seeds

Do any of these things sound like things that you currently eat? If not, consider rounding out your diet by finding recipes that include them so that you can rest assured that you are getting enough protein in your diet for healthy skin.

The internet is a great source for recipes that use these types of foods, as well as other types of treatment ideas.

Too many people go to the extreme and make use of laser surgery, chemical peels and Botox to erase their lines and wrinkles. Why not start from the inside and work on taking better care of your body so that wrinkles don’t become a problem before they have to be? Get started on your quest for healthier skin today. Protein is a great place to start, and it may be found in some of your favorite foods.

Many people believe that once they begin to develop wrinkles that their diet is no longer a driving force in the health of their skin. This belief is completely incorrect. While younger people may focus more on wrinkle prevention than wrinkle treatment, what you put into your body each and every day goes a long way in determining how your skin looks, and that applies to everyone, age 8 to 80. One food that you can introduce into your diet today that will make a major different in how you look and how you feel is fish, thanks to the all natural fatty acids contained within.

People all over the world have been raving about the health benefits of eating fish for millennia. If you are one of the last holdouts to be won over by a beautiful filet of haddock, cod or salmon, you may want to give it a try. According to scientists, fish contain fatty acids that are a big part of keeping your skin healthy. Our skin is made up of billions of individual cells, and those cells work like tiny anti wrinkle factories to keep us all looking young. The fatty acids in fish help to keep the outside cell membrane in good shape, which benefits us in two different ways.

First, a healthy skin cell membrane does a better job of keeping out toxins, free radicals from the sun and other harmful influences that are bent on destroying our healthy looking skin. On the flip side, a healthy skin membrane does a better job of absorbing and using the nutrients it needs to stay healthy, so a diet rich in fatty acids from fish does your body good in two completely different ways. If that weren’t enough, your cell membranes are also responsible for how your skin cells maintain their water levels. As we all know, all wrinkle treatment products are rich in moisture, so if our skin cells can keep their own moisture longer, our skin will look healthier, longer.

Still not convinced? Fish has been shown to help reduce our cholesterol and even act as a counterbalance against inflammation that can lead to heart disease. While we may be eating fish for its smoothing properties, it turns out that we should probably be eating it for a whole slew of other reasons, as well.

Many folks wonder what kind of fish is best for their skin, their hearts and their bodies in general. According to experts, all types of fish are considered beneficial, but salmon manages to beat all others when it comes to protecting your body and skin. To ensure that the fish maintains as much of the helpful anti wrinkle properties, it is best to eat it grilled or baked, but not overly so. If you are one of the unlucky few that are allergic to fish, you can find the same kinds of fatty acids in foods like walnuts and even in canola oil, although fish is still the best delivery system for this amazing wrinkle treatment you can eat.
