Simple And Effective Anti Aging Tips

Americans spend an incredible $1 billion per year on anti aging products, all in the quest to maintain beautiful, healthy, and young-looking skin. Are expensive creams and lotions the best option? While anti aging products can be extremely beneficial, it is important to remember that great skin starts from the inside. The following tips are very simple, yet very effective, methods of improving the look and feel of your skin.

Stay hydrated. Staying hydrated is crucial for not only good health but for beautiful skin as well. Water helps the body flush harmful toxin and keep the skin maintain its elasticity and firmness. When you don’t get proper hydration, your skin becomes very dry, leathery, and fine and deep lines appear more readily. Keep your skin supple by drinking at least 64 ounces of water per day.

Eat Properly. This is the key to great skin as well as a great body. Foods rich in antioxidants, such as black and blue berries, broccoli, kale, turnips, and cauliflower, help the body fight free radicals. A result of pollution or sun exposure, free radicals can leave the skin wrinkled and damaged. Antioxidants are essential for combating this process and leaving skin younger-looking and healthier.

Exercise. Exercise helps your body, mood, and skin. Besides flushing away toxins, exercise improves circulation, which allows vital nutrients to reach the skin. Skin appears healthier and has a radiant glow.

Wear sunscreen. This cannot be emphasized enough and is a huge factor in keeping skin looking and feeling young. UVA and UVB rays from the sun cause a great deal of damage to the skin, resulting in age spots, redness, and premature wrinkles. People who are exposed to sun over the course of years often have a leathery appearance. Most of us would like to avoid that, and wearing a high SPF sunscreen that protects against both UVA and UVB rays is the most effective method. Also, cover up as much as the temperature allows and wear a hat. Having a tan might be attractive, but being wrinkle-free trumps that anytime.

Find a good anti aging product. Those containing peptides, glucosamine, retinoids, antioxidants, and/or marine collagen are most effective at keeping skin healthy and looking young and fresh. Follow the instructions carefully and you should notice an improvement in your skin’s appearance. OTC or prescription treatments are most effective when used in conjunction with the tips listed above.
